warning: im talking out of my ass here as ive never tried rhosts before
anyways, although i haven't tried rhosts i do remember everytime i
install ssh on my debian systems it says something along the lines of
ssh needs to be setuid root to do rhosts authentication. so check
the permissions on your ssh binarie(s) if they are setuid root or
not, see what happens. ..
