Sorry about the typo.

The problem occurs with sshd 2.3.0,  not 2.2.0 and 2.4.0

Subject: Problems with ssh 2.3.0 on AIX

Hi,

After about 45 minutes of inactivity with a connection to a server running SSH Secure Shell, we get strange messages received on the client. Usually something like ""Accepting Host @&"| without checking"". Sometimes a fatal error occurs that kills the client. Afterwords, we are left with public host keys with names .02, .05 and hmac-sha1.

We have verified that this activity occurs with servers running sshd 2 2.3.0 on AIX 4.3.2 and 4.3.3. It does not occur on servers running sshd 2.2.0 or sshd 2.4.0. (Note: we have other issues with sshd ver 2.4.0.) sshd was configured --with-libwrap and --without-x

We have experienced this behavior with F-Secure SSH and SecureCRT clients.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems? Has anyone found a solution?

Kyle Harrison
