Possibly a dumb question, but have you created keys yet?

Subject: ssh question
Question about installing and running ssh,
I have just installed the latest version of openssh on a
Solaris 2.7 computer. I installed the prerequisites first
to include Zlib and OpenSSL. I changed the install
location to /usr/local/ssh. I have made no manual
configuration changes yet. I started the sshd daemon and
it is running. I try to use it and I get nothing when I
try to do the following:
/usr/local/ssh/bin/ssh -l loginname machine.domain.com
I hit return and and it justs sits there. What am I doing
wrong or what do I still need to do? I have found nothing
on how to actually use ssh or what options and
capabilities or configurations you can do. The readme
files tell how to basically install it and that is about
it.
Thanks for any help you can give,
Jim LaGore
