trying to install

sorry for such a dumb question, but i'm trying to install openssh with
the zlib and openssl packages, but am unsure where they're suppose to be
located and if i need to do any extra steps besides the
./configure
make
make install
can someone please lead me to some more detailed instructions on how to
install openssh.  Thanks
