Here is my error_log: [TIME] SSL_Accept failed [TIME] error: 140890AC: SSL routines: SSL3_GET_CLIENT_CERTIFICATE: no certificate returned My server is: Apache 1.2.5 + SSLeay 0.8.1 + BenSSL 1.13 + Linux 2.0.33 My client is: Netscape 4.04 dometic on Win95 I got test certs for Netscape from both Thawte and the Cryptosoft page (both behave the same). When I put "https://www.myserver.com/" in the browser, it asks which certificate to sent, then says "server not accepting certificate", and I get the above in my error_log. What else do you need? httpd.conf? Also, how do I generate my own personal certs for Netscape? Did I miss something in the distribution? Where is this perl file I hear about?
