I'm hoping this is a place where I can find some critical but elusive
information.
We run SWS x86 , and need to set up SSL for a customer who has a
web store, and wants visitors to feel OK about entering charge card
numbers.
We have looked through all the docs we can find, but in no one place have
we found
STEP BY STEP instructions for implementing SSL.
Everything appears to be generic, such as
"STEP ONE: create the private and public keys"
"Ok, great..." we thought... " How the hell do we do THAT??"
we also have tried creating certificates using a command we found in one of
the docs:
skicert -F -k skirca > /var/http/SSL/server_creds/199.171.83.24.CERT
but we got a core dump.
Can you offer (or direct us to) step-by-step commands to create all the
things needed to have and install SSL certificates on a client?
thank you in advance for you response!
PS.. I don't subscribe to this list; a direct email reply would be most
appreciated!
(hey, ANY reply will be appreciated!!)
