I wonder how I should renew a certificate. Basically I want the CA to
extend the validity period of my certificate, so that I can continue to
use it for signing.
I would imagine that "ssleay ca" program be able to do this, but there
is no such option.
To the minimum, I want to reuse the same pair of keys. From the p12
file, I can extract out the private key and I can use that key to make a
cert request again. I can use the same ifnormation (C. O. OU. Email,
etc). But I could not get ca to sign it becasu ethis is a duplicate!
So how shall I do a renewal?
