Hi folks,

I have a problem identical to the one enclosed.
Iam using Apache 1.2.4 & SSLeay 0.8.1

Want to setup a pvt CA.
Tried all tips in the www.opengroup.org's doc on Apache-SSLeay.

Installed server and generated the keys/certificates at server side.

On client side, Netscape is cribbing to verify the clinet certifcicate.
For IE, nothing is working at clinet side.

Any help?

TIA.

Regards,
Oommen

   Hallo All,

i have probs to configure the Apache 1.2.1-with-SSL-0.8.1-Server to
accept Client-Certificates presented by a Netscape Navigator 3.02.

The Apache-Server is running an presents a selfgenerated and
   selfsigned
Server-Certificate. Then i have to choose my Client-Certificate i want
to show him and then the server says:

The server cannot verify your certificate

   I have presented a VeriSign-Certificate and a
Thawte-Freemail-Certificate to him. The same result.

I tried to figure out, whether there is something about this topic in
the archived Mailing-list, but did not found anything.

Also i did not found helpful documentation.

So, can anybody help me to get the server accept client-certificates.

   Thank you

   So long
   Wolfgang
