Hello there

I have the following problem: when I issue a certificate with SSLeay for
my Apache-SSL based Web server, I can connect to it from Netscape
without any problems. However, once I load in the CA certificate, the
browser complains that `The server's certificate has an invalid
signature'.

I have tried many things to fix the problem in the past few days - I
tested both the latest versions of SSLeay (0.8.1, 0.9.0), prolonged the
CA cert validity to be longer than the issued cert, I double checked
that the CA cert is a correct nsCertType (0x7) and the server cert too
(0x40), recompiled the server, even reinstalled Netscape so that the
cert registry was refreshed... however, it still cuts me off.

The components are as follows: Apache 1.2.6, apache_ssl 1.16, SSLeay
0.9.0, Netscape 4.05

Any ideas/hints will be gratefully accepted.

J.R.
