FWIW I took the orignal ca cert and saved it as a der, and recreated the
pkcs12 structure from my cert & key. I manually imported the ca cert into
msie, then successfully imported the pkcs12 structure. I guess it did not
like the cert chaining ..

If you are still interested I can send you all the stuff to have a look at..
