Awesome!  Option 1 worked almost like a charm.  :-)

Did these.

Not sure where I was "observing" this icon.  Do you mean the checkbox in
the third tab panel where the headers, etc. are?  I did have that checked
off as "Signed".

Did that, but still didn't find any signing info in it.  So instead, I went
to the .nsmail/Drafts folder and sucked the message outta there.  Did the
rest below, and "hoochymama", I got my cert.
