I don't think that is the Vulcan that made steam engines. The Vulcan Iron
Works photos (10,000), data and drawings are in The Penn. Railroad Museum at
http://www.rrhistorical-2.com/frm/library/library.htm

You can send a letter to the librarian to get the references, drawings you
need for most of Vulcan' locos.

    Would you gentlemen who live in the San Francisco Bay area kindly see if
you could find any information on Vulcan Iron Works of Vulcan Iron Foundry

do?  I am doing research on the Oregon Pony, the first or one of the first
locomotives built on the west coast in 1858-59.  I hope to build a live
steam
model of it and need more information.
