Dear Live Steam Friends,

The Cherry Grove Rail Road (Fire Island, N.Y.) is in operation with a Ruby
making regular runs between the neighboring beach communities of Cherry
Grove and the Fire Island Pines. For a look at my Ruby under steam see:

For more information on construction of the C.G.R.R. out here on a sandy
island, see my homepage:

After a break in period, my Ruby is running well averaging 12 to 15 minute
runs on preheated water. The most difficult aspect of running the engine now
is setting the throttle and the burner to affect a realistic speed and
maximize run times. Anyone have any radio control tips or recommendations?
