Can you think of any way to modify a Ruby to work this way without having
to cut holes in the boiler?  Might it work to solder the line to the top
of the flue similar to how a superheat line would go?  If the tube is
soldered to the top of the flue it should perform similarly but may be a
bit too hot to allow the normal opperation we are looking for.  

I'm still not completely clear on the opperation of the condensation cycle
btu then I really can't get my mind around the opperation of the pop-pop
boats either.  I understand the flash boiling part though.  :)  I've
overheated my nitro car engines enough to see _explosive_ vapor locking at
the carborator.  Of course, alcohol based liquids evaporate a bit
easier than water.  ;]
