Well spotted! I had forgotten that I had also introduced a
/usr/local/etc/dma/dma.conf for some reason. They were more or
less
identical, tho.
Now I have it working, finally!
This is the complete dma.conf:
SMARTHOST smtp.migadu.com
PORT 587
AUTHPATH /etc/dma/auth.conf
MASQUERADE [email protected]
SECURETRANSFER
STARTTLS
The reason I went with tcp/465 is this guide:
https://www.migadu.com/guides/
...but 587 worked perfectly!

I've also updated the GitHub issue I filed with dma, and tried the
same
config above with the dma in the base system, without issues.
