I'm afraid the above patch doesn't really mean much without first applying 816c04fe7ef01dd9649f5ccfe796474db8708be5. But that patch introduced the null-deref in the first place (at least when using a wl12xx card). Without these two patches applied we won't get a panic with a wl12xx card, but MIC failures will not be correctly propagated up. As such I'm not sure it's worth the trouble.
