Looks like this was originally reported in Ubuntu 11.10[1], which uses a 3.0.y-based kernel. Does 3.0.y need this, too? The patch description makes it sound like this might be only for the Pen&Touch gen3 which is not supported in 3.2.y, but Phill uses a BambooPT 2FG 4x5 which is older (support added in v2.6.38-rc3~12^2~5). Good catch. So for what it's worth, I think this should go in 3.0.y and 3.2.y.
