STAF does not check the write protection, but if the path cannot be
written to, then the OS will return an error ("Access denied"), and the FS
request will fail .

STAF does not provide a command to check whether a path is write
protected, but you could run a PROCESS START SHELL COMMAND "ls -al xxxx"
to get the attribute settings.

We do have an open feature to provide a FS command to retrive file system
permissions:

[staf-users] [STAF-USER] : Query regarding FS service of STAF

Greetings,

While creating folder with the help of FS service, Is STAF check the write
protection of supplied path? If not, then STAF provides any command to
check whether the given path is write protected or not?

With best regards,
Mohammad Shahid Jamal
