In the documentatio, file: STAFGS.pdf (version 3.0.0) there is a typo:
In section 4.8:

Notice that the second command staf staf6f var resolve system string
(STAF/Config/Sep/File} was sent to a machine running a Unix operating
system, so the output reflects the Unix
File Separator.
<snip end>
the string: (STAF/Config/Sep/File}
should be replaced with: {STAF/Config/Sep/File}
