Hi, Can you try loading the STAF editor via Eclipse as root user, to see if that works?

Can you try restarting Eclipse and see if that resolves the problem? We
had another user report that error in the following mailing list thread,
and it was resolved by restarting Eclipse:

RC=0
Result=PONG
But I'll get a exception stack trace "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
Could not initialize class com.ibm.staf.STAFHandle" when I try to open a
STAF machine in eclipse.(error message:Problems occurred when invoking
code from plug-in: "org.eclipse.jface".)

Hi,
In the non-root environment, verify that environment variable
LD_LIBRARY_PATH (or LIBPATH on AIX, IBM i, and z/OS systems,
SHLIB_PATH on HP-UX systems, DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH on Mac OS X)
includes the STAF lib directory (i.e. /usr/local/staf/lib, if that
is where you installed STAF).

If I run java com.ibm.staf.TestJSTAF local PING PING with
non-root user,I'll get exception as following
