Just a suggestion...Maybe data forms could, along the lines of <reported/> / <item/> be enabled to also return hierarchical listings, such as via nesting of <item/>'s? I could see such a thing as useful for some search results (and it shouldn't be unimaginable that clients could display data returned hierarchically, such as with tree structures).
