Hey all,
Fippo just pointed me to the newly published SoX XEP (thanks!).
I made one comment back in Brussels when we discussed this but I suppose
it must have slipped through:
If this is about making XMPP an alternative transport for SIP, then
clients would also need to be able to optionally specify destination
transport addresses: address/port/transport.
Something like this
<sox xmlns='urn:xmpp:sox:0'
to-address='2001:41d0:2:4f31::4'
to-port='5061'
to-transport='TLS'>
It is indeed true that Route headers could possibly do the job in many
cases but you might want to override those. For example, when using an
outbound proxy.
Cheers,
Emil
