We're going to be switching the Buddycloud-pusher to the XEP and making it as standards compliant as possible.
Right now it Pushes to Android and Email: https://github.com/buddycloud/buddycloud-pusher/blob/master/README.md#component-design. We're using it in production already and it "just works".
