Georg also has issues - namely, experience shows that the default should be 'all' and not 'roster'; and, in the context of XEP-0313, there should be a way to indicate that MAM storage preferences have not yet been explicitly configured, so the client can display a GDPR opt-in dialog. Jonas thinks it will be easier to handle those concerns in an XEP independent of 0313. Dave is concerned that this is using the same namespace as XEP-0313 - Jonas thinks that's a feature, not a bug; Georg doesn't think it's necessarily a problem. Editor will try to move it to a different namespace once a bumping change happens - Dave thinks it might be worth just changing the namespace now, with a note of what it was previously.
