Aloha Group!
I left the list after I sent away my StarMax to my eleven year old son.
He's in CA and I'm in Hawaii so phone conversations about problems can
be expensive. I didn't anticipate problems I couldn't answer quickly!
He's already come up with one I've never seen. It was working fine
apparently but now when he boots up there is nothing but a blank white
screen except there is the cursor. No happy Mac, no extension icons, no
menu, just a cursor.
He told me he messed with the Appearance Control Panel changing the view
font a few days ago and it worked ok but I wonder if that doesn't have
to do with it. My advice to him was to use the original StarMax CD to
boot from and run Disk Doctor from that. Any other thoughts/ideas?
The configuration: 3000/200 MT; 3x32MB RAM (96MB); JoeCard G3/333 (or
320?): OS 9.0
He has also been into it to put in another HD which I will ask about in
a separate post but I wonder if something didn't get knocked loose. G
