Thanks Bob for all the helpful info. (and everyone else) I figured the
drive had to go in the front.
What I guess I don't get is why there is space for two more drives but
no connections. The sparse
bit of info on low end's site as well as StarMax's home site led me to
believe the machine was ready
and able to take another drive.
Yes, I know that feeling of frustration. I was ready to toss the thing
out the window when I was
upgrading it and couldn't figure out why it was acting so weird after I
put in more RAM. Then I
switched around the chips and it was great and the relief was wondrous.
I figure the hands on
experience of messing with this stuff (and getting frustrated) is well
worth it for the education for my
eleven year old (son). For myself, I don't really have the time and I'm
glad my G4 hums along and
does what I tell it to. G
