This list is about the starmax - there used to be one - now there are
at least three.
I don't think it appropriate that it be used for spamming to try and
get members to another list.
Personally, I would rather see one list again, one community of
starmaxers all pooling their knowledge - without fear of being abused
for their lack of knowledge, insulted at whim in contrast to
continually seeing "have you read the netiquette" when good old plain
etiquette has flown the coop long ago.

Very interesting - the Guttenberg Press turned western society into
readers and the internet is turning the world into writers :)

These lists and forums do become communities - and the writers and
readers are all real human beings. It's one of the reasons I like
Dan's approach - he knows what these are all about.
I trust his judgement and the great contribution he has made to the
mac community.
