I don't know if this is just a coincidence but a couple of years ago I vacuumed immediately around my StarMax & the next day had problems with the hard drive for the first time. I excluded the bad blocks which had suddenly appeared. Then a few months later I vacuumed again and the hard drive went completely. After having a new hard drive fitted I have been very careful. I now have a G4 also and do not take the vacuum cleaner anywhere near either computer. Everyone says dust is bad for computers so my cleaning efforts involve a lot of dusting, crawling around the floor with damp cloths and anti static spray. Oddly enough before this topic came up I was thinking of posting a query about cleaning but it sounded a bit stupid so hadn't done so. I'll do it now at the risk of sounding stupid. What is the best i.e. most effective and safe method of cleaning round computers.
