Because the laser lens faces up, dust will accumulate on it. (It's reading the bottom of the CD, right?) Get yourself a CD Cleaner Disk at Radio Shack or anywhere. It will have a little brush on it that physically cleans the lens. You may already have one for your Audio CD player: same thing. Lou
