WOW! A RESPONSE, cool.

I WAS wondering if maybe the problem would clear-up if I upgraded to 9.0.4 or
something but if the ATI drivers are the problem then maybe not? Hmmm.. But if the
ATI drivers are the problem, then EVERYONE who has a Mac that has an ATI board would
have this problem with this game (Descent 3) . SO I'm not sure if I have been
specific enough. I HAVE noticed that the sound CUTS OUT during fast action (I think
this is what you are referring to) but it comes back a few seconds later. But what
I'm talking about is that during the game and the sound HASN'T cut out, that if a
radio transmission comes in, (basically a voice over the top of the action) it sounds
like a cough or a few consonants instead of words or a phrase. It is THESE sounds
that sound fine (you can actually hear them talking) when I turn off the 3D driver (
Rage 128 3D extension- which links Open GL and the board ) and NOT the ATI drivers
per se.

Would this cause you to think differently?

Thanks for your help
