I'd suggest adding a Network card to your SM, then using either a crossover cable or a switch or a hub to connect your SM to your new G4. Then simply use file sharing and copy the files over the network from the old computer to the new one.
I'd be willing to come by in person to perform this service, my fee would be a PowerMac G4.
