Whoa! Before simply trashing it, you might want to keep it on your 
desktop for a while before completely throwing it away. You might 
decide you want to put up with the inconvenience after all. Before 
performing the actual removal (Ken O. paraphrased) What does Dr. 
Norton say? What about Med Tech Pro? have you tried updating all of 
your PED-wear? In any case, I would suggest at least a local 
anesthetic.

I don't have any personal experience in this. On the 5000, the switch 
is at a height of 6", so my suggestions are to be taken in that light.
