Your SM is asking for part of Open Transport, Apple's networking
software; do you need networking? If not maybe you can turn it off to
avoid that error, or maybe this will help:

I got my son (just turned 12) and has my old SM, cable access for his
birthday and so had to get an ethernet card and I went with this:

He put it in himself and it works. George
