If you remove the battery completely your Starmax will boot up almost
perfectly. You just have to use NetChronometer or the Date and Time
Control Panel to reset the system date and time each time you boot
up. I did that for weeks before buying the $25 battery from Radio
Shack last month. Put an alias in your Startup folder in the System
Folder.

However I just bought a dual G4, and I'm interested in anyone who
would like to PICKUP in person in Concord, Ca, my complete Starmax
3160 tower with the 160 ram, ethernet, and G3 card. I'll throw in the
Orb, and my old Deskwriter. $100 but I'm keeping the 40 gig HD. No
monitor. You supply your own IDE/ATA drive and you have a perfectly
working system. Concord California area only. 925-671-7969.
