I have a 10-100 ethernet card in my Starmax I got very cheaply from an eBay
auction for $14.30 incl the shipping ($9.95 + $4.35). The box says it's an
Encore ENL832-TX, but the small label on the back with the barcode says
"ENL832-TX+" I notice. It shipped from Virtual Information Systems of Madera
CA, but made in China.
I've only used it for a crossover cable connection to other macs, but it has
worked great. I don't know what NIC refers to , I'm afraid.
