I just installed a DVD in my SM (4000MT w/Newer G3 upgrade, 160 MB RAM, OS
9.1 and an ATI Rage Orien video card. It is $50 at Other World Computing,
an Apple standard issue IDE DVD (A Matshita). It is bootable at least from
my Disk Warrior CD, which is nice. So far it will do music and DVDs show up
on my desktop but I cannot play them with Quicktime. This is not critical
but it would be nice to be able to play DVDs. I am using the OS 9.1 Apple
CD/DVD driver. I also have the patched CD/DVD driver from OS 8.5 available.
Does anyone view DVD video on their SM? If so what driver and viewing
program do you use. I have QT 5 Pro, maybe I need to upgrade to QT6?
