Hi All: I am still around with my trusty Starmax. After the original list went down, I got on the yahoo list. That was a mistake because shortly after I got buried in spam. Hope that does not happen here.
I have had a Vimage G3/240 upgrade card. Interchangeably, I have used the Vimage extension 1.2.3 or the Sonnet extensions 1.4.7 & 2.0.1. The Vimage extension seemed to run a little faster but maybe the Sonnet was more compatible; could never decide. Recently, I acquired a Sonnet G3/300 with 1 MB cache. Again, I have been switching back on forth between the Vimage and Sonnet extension. According to Nortons systems info the computer runs about 5% faster with the Vimage extension, but every time I have a problem I wonder if it is because of the extension. Anyone else know something, or done any experimenting with these cards and extensions? Incidentally, the Vimage card is for sale on eBay in case there is any one out there who has not upgraded.
