I have the same problem when using my PC and my StarMax on my Belkin KVM. The only way I have found to get the PS/2 keyboard to work on both pieces of equipment is to switch the KVM to the PC and start the Starmax. After the initial startup period has completed on the StarMax will I switch the KVM over to the Starmax and the keyboard and mouse will work. It is not a perfect solution for me; but maybe someone out on the list can solve this problem for both of us.
Robert C. Newman III OK, I have my StarMax 3000/180 and my Pentium MMX sharing keyboard, video and mouse via a Linksys KVM Switch. All is working well, however the Mac does not work with the PC's keyboard. It's not the KVM Switch, as I tried the keyboard directly into the StarMax's keyboard PS/2 port. I'm guessing that the problem is the difference in keyboard layouts? Is there a workaround, or must I resort to the Mac ADB keyboard for the StarMax? :-)Heather -- StarMax is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> StarMax list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/starmax.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/starmax%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
