OK, in a truly strange turn of events, I tried (as was suggested) connecting a different PS/2 keyboard directly to the StarMax; this keyboard did not work either, and in fact the Mouse (!) stopped working altogether on the StarMax, though still connected (?!), however, the PC keyboard (still connected to the KVM, but not connected to the StarMax) did work! I then tried connecting the new keyboard to the KVM, but, as before, the Mouse worked, but the keyboard did not. Finally, I tried connecting the new keyboard directly to the StarMax, with no keyboard to the KVM, and only using the StarMax side of the KVM. In this setting, the keyboard still did not work and neither did the mouse! The only thing I can figure is there is something wrong with one or both of the PS/2 ports on the StarMax, which is only compounded by the KVM. As a last resort, I connected the ADB keyboard (which I type on at the moment); so I have KVM on the PC side and VM (plus ADB keyboard!) on the Mac side. Probably, the StarMax requires a certain type of Windows keyboard, and, of course, Linksys people surely didn't have cross-platform users (more specifically PC and Mac) in mind when they designed the KVM. Whatever, I am stumped! But the ADB keyboard works fine, so it works for me! Any comments on this are welcomed! :-)Heather
