If you have the minitower, then the battery is held onto the motherboard
with velcro. The battery is behind the I/O cage, in the upper right hand
corner, looking into the left side of the tower. You have to ease the
motherboard out the rear, taking care not to loosen any cables, until you
see the battery. It takes some firm pulling/wiggling on the battery to break
the velcro seal. Make sure you observe the orientation of the battery
connector. Can't tell you about the desktop model in detail, but from what I
hear, the battery is hidden at the same spot on the motherboard in that
config as well.
