I am thinking of going to DSL access at home and I would also want to be
able to use my Powerbook G4Ti400. Currently I just use a crossover cable to
connect my SM 4000 (w/G3 upgrade) for occasional networking. For my dialup
access I usually have the modem of my SM plugged in but I occasionally
connect the PB modem for dialup access. It would be neat to have both have
simultaneous access but this is not critical.
I do not know if going to a wireless setup is a useful investment. I
understand the PB can have an airport card and there are PCMCIA cards for
wireless networking. Would I need a wireless card in the SM to network the
PB or would the SM connect to the DSL router by ethernet? Does the PB
connect to the SM or the router? If the DSL line connects to the ethernet
card in the SM do I even need a router?
I'm a little confused with the options and I am looking for advice. The PB
has both OSX and OS 9.2 available, if that matters.

able to sit quietly in a room alone."
