First thing to try is a cleaning disc, looks like a floppy, but it has a fiber sheet inside you put a few drops of cleaning solution on and then stick in the drive. If the loading mechanism is sticky you may need to take the drive out and clean and lubricate the moving parts. Don't use some spray oil, use what is called a dry lubricant.
