This was an option though, none of the Starmaxen I've seen has had Ethernet.

Definitely worth checking. I recently killed my SM 4000/200 604e's board 
and am thinking of replacing it, and will likely get one with built-in 
ethernet. Three PCI slots don't go too far, it's a shame to waste one with 
ethernet when it could be had on board.

I miss my Starmax...
