About every 4-5 months I post this, as list members come and go:
Anyone looking for a 9.1 OS cd to install on their Starmax, might try
looking for an iBook 9.1 disc; It installed fine on my SM, & also on my
daughter's (bondi blue original) iMac. My daughter says the iMac is much
more stable since going from the 8.6 to 9.1, possibly because there was some
corruption of the 8.6 OS- I'm not sure. I found it at least as stable as 8.6
on the SM.
The Starmax is largely being used now by my son to download music with
Limewire and burn music cd's, both mp3 and regular. It's still a workhorse
after all these years, thanks to upgrades.
