It's not the monitor (its too old to have such sophisticated options), and I've checked the Energy Saving control panel - not there either. Besides - It isn't that it "times out" Again the symptoms are: 1) When I power-up, the monitor remains blank. 2) Some users's screens go blank when they login (I can logout, and the screen will re-appear). 3) If the user is having problems, I can create a new user, copy their files and it'll be ok. 4) Sometimes, swapping the monitor over to the other monitor socket will allow the monitor to work. Sometimes persistent reboot is what it needs. So, I still need help. (And a PC has appeared to my right!!) :o( Richard. -- StarMax is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> StarMax list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/starmax.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/starmax%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
