There are old serial printers which worked fine with OS 7.6.1 if you find a
used one they will be cheap/free. I used an Epson 600. I now have an Epson
740i which has both serial and USB connection ports. I have upgraded to OS
9.1 and added a USB card and have it connected that way. If you upgrade
this way most modern USB printers can be used. USB cards do not cost much
and add a significant capacity for things like cameras, media readers mice
and countless other devices. I also have an old Apple Stylewriter II which
works fine but is B&W only.

Hi, I'm new to the list and was hoping to get assistance on what is
probably a pretty basic question.

I purchased a StarMax for my sister back in '96 and for the most part
its run fine.

I'm having trouble finding a Mac compatible printer as the System
Software is too old (7.5.3)?

Could anyone provide suggestions short of buying a new Mac? The Epson I
had gotten stopped working.
