I have the card you are asking about but, as yet, have not installed it. I got it from CompUSA when they were running a double rebate and cheap shipping deal. It was $5.00 total when it was all said and done so I figured I couldn't pass it up. The outside of the box claims it will work on 8.6 but all the literature inside specifies OSX. I have heard somewhere that 8.6 will support USB 1 standards but to use USB 2 you need at least version 9. Sorry to be of so little help but at this point it would be hard for me to determine if it works at all since I have no USB equipment.
