StarMax systems have three slots for memory modules(or
DIMMs).
The computer will work with a number of different
memory
configurations,from a minimum of 16Mb to a maximum of
160MB.
Follow these guidelines when configuring your system's
RAM:

DIMM slots can accept 16,32,and 64 MB DIMMS

All DIMMS must be 168-pin,3.3V unbuffered extended
data out(EDO),
60 nanosecond RAM accsess time or faster. Slower
DIMMs will not
work reliably. SIMMs or DIMMs from Macintosh
computers may not be
   compatible.

The DIMM slot marked "single bank" can accept a 16MB
or 32MB,
single bank DIMM, as installed at the factory. The
remaining DIMM slots,
marked "dual bank", can accept any single or dual
bank of size 16MB,
   32MB, or 64MB.

NOTE: 64MB DIMMs must use 11-bit row address(2 KB
refresh)

***Double banked dimm may be physically single sided
or double sided. The banking is electrically single
sided."
So don't get side tracked !

Try pull all dimms and reseat them.
Be sure your new dimms meet above specs.
