I have a 5500/200 with no G3 card and have been running 9.2.2 for a year or
more now. I followed the os9forever instructions and had it work.

How far are you getting? Did you get 9.1 installed? 9.2.1? The trick I
remember in 9.1 was to do a "Custom" installation instead of the recommended
one. I think that the installer fails because it doesn't know what to
install on the machine. 9.2.1 and 9.2.2 seemed to go on without any
problems.

Copy the Monitors control panel out of the System folder before installing
9.2.2 because it gets removed during the installation (you can use tome
viewer to get it out of the 9.1 installation tome later if you forget). I
have found 9.2.2 to be stable and I have been able to run a couple of
programs that require 9.2 on my starmax.
