I can't comment much on the wireless concern but my wife brings an IBM laptop home from school sometimes and it used to find my Belkin router just fine. The IT people took it to install some more software and it came back unable to connect at home. It does, however, work with the school's wireless network. The card is one that goes either 802.11a or b. They were having some trouble with viri, etc, so I suppose they took away the ability to connect anywhere except through their network.

Netscape 7.02 is available from Netscape's web site. It runs in OS9.x, and
although a bit slow to load, it does run OK on my Starmax w/G3 card, and my
beige G3. Just clear out the cookies and the history once in a while to
keep it running as fast as it can. And it has a pop-up blocker.

I have been using Mozilla 1.2.1 on my G3 and also on a SuperMac C600. It is about like Netscape 7. I think the trashy Netscape you refer to is 6.x. I have never used it. Like you I held on to 4.x for as long as I could. I don't think there is a Firefox for anything less than X. I have used it on a pc and I like it.
